Just bought my HP HDX16 CTO 1200 (Intel P7450) on 19th September 2009.
Just yesterday (25th August 2010 – i.e about 11 months later ) a single purple vertical line appeared on a the screen. I have not used my laptop too much and have not used it to play games or just some heavy applications, mostly to play mp3 music and some light text editors. The room temperature is normal, there have not any kind of liquid drop on the laptop itself, no pressure, no shock. the line just automatically came up while I was working with the laptop.
I think more lines will come shortly…
