Yet another victim of the dreaded ZD8000 faulty LCD panel…. It started off as a single white vertical line about midway (right side) of the LCD, and after one week has grown to a 2 inch solid white vertical bar… Very pissed off to say the least… especially when I’ve also owned a HP Omnibook XE2 manufactured in 2000 which is still alive and kicking well today with a SSD installed using XPE. How come they could make such reliable laptops over 10 years ago when the technology was no where near as advanced as in recent years ????? I think this is a classic case of “planned obsolescence” aka “Engineered Fraud” by HP…. Yup, join me in any class action – Australia is not immuned
