My laptop is about 2 1/2 years old . Vertical lines started to appear about 5 months ago. Now, a few months later I have about 12 vertical lines, and a whole coloumn of dead pixel. and a 2 inch wide coloumd of white pixels ! An external monitor works fine. I have heard of various different approachs to solving the problem, ranging from a new screen to replacing cables / connectors. I am going to take the laptop apart next week !!
