Welcome to HPVerticalLine.com

Thank you for visiting!
Do you like the vertical lines on this page? I own a Hewlett-Packard zd8000
laptop computer. This is what my screen looks like every day.
The purpose of this website is to educate consumers about Hewlett-Packard's
faulty hardware issues in a number of their computer models. It also serves
as a repository for topic-related posts and links to legal and other related
resources from the web.
Hewlett-Packard computers are becoming notorious for suffering
short lifespans, overheating, LCD display failures, and multitudes of
other hardware and design related problems. HP customer support seems
to have a policy of denial and blame when dealing with customers who have
defective HP computers. Customers are charged ridiculous fees for repairs
on defective HP computers and even for customer support. In many cases,
HP repairs defective computers with more defective hardware, often times
selling the customers a somewhat bogus "extended warranty",
which appears to be designed to expire shortly before the replaced parts
do.
If you own or have owned a Hewlett-Packard computer, please share your experiences so others may make an educated decision when purchasing a computer.
My computer cost me over $1,500/US and began failing within the first
10 months. Problems with my computer include vertical display lines, dead
pixels, sloooow operation, overheating, battery dysfunction, cracks in
the case from heat, and a disgruntled operator (hence the website).
Hewlett-Packard has not owned up to their responsibility to recall, replace,
or refund.
I am a victim of Hewlett-Packard!
Please
share your story with us.

Also I'm another HP's victim. One vertical line appeared two months ago, now the computer has almost 4 years and no solution is available. Anyone knows who won't buy another laptop from this people??. Greetings from Spain

I've had my HP Pavilion dv8327cl for about 2 years. I noticed a dark bar on the left side of my screen and a red line on the right side. Now the image jumps wildly up and down. If I push the screen toward me a little, it stops, but starts jumping again as soon as I let go. Of course, the warranty has expired. I was glad that it was still in force when one of the hard drives failed.
I've seen many posts of people with Pavilion dv8000 series notebooks that have the exact same symptoms. This has to be a manufacturer's defect. Please let me know if you file a class action law suit! I definitely want to be a part of it. Thanks.

I know the story about the zd7000 with the lawsuit. I'm still suffering the consequences. But this ime is the tx1000. It first started with the wireless, unfixable. Now it's the screen, it just went dark. My computer guy claims it's the motherboard. I have no warranty. It's 2 yrs. old. Please advise.
