I bought my Zd8000 new , keystroke problems , battery problems , charger problems , now a fried motherboard , nobody wants to know!!
HP say ..(between the lines ) "Tough"
Tried everything , should I now waste another £250 to have the same or similar problem present itself in two months time ???
HP must think that we all have more money than sense !!
£1200 for a state of the art (at the time ) peice of junk!!!

More fool me for thinking that the days where consumers had rights were still relevant!
Vote with your feet.!!!

My zd8000 first started to have battery issues about 1 year after purchase.  The amount of time for battery-powered operation slowly declined until it no longer works on battery at all and shuts off immediately if unplugged.  Also, about two years in I had the vertical line issues on my screen.  The video card was replaced under warrantee (no computer for almost 3 weeks when it was sent to the manufacturer!).  This seemed to fix the problem initially, until recently....now and then there will be a vertical line on the screen, however, it's not there all the time.  Over the last month, my power cord/connection seems to be faulty, it randomly loses the outlet power when there is no obvious unplugging or loose connections.  Having ZERO battery reserve,my computer will just turn off for no apparent reason.  I spent about 2200 dollars on this laptop and it is 3.5 years old.  I will never again purchase an HP product.

I have about 130 lines so far. In order to keep track of them, HP should at least provide software to keep track if the number of lines continues to rise or stops at some point.

We can start a competition of who has the most lines. The winner gets a new screen, compliments of HP.
